If you are a coin collector, you should be happy to know that coin collecting is easier today than ever. Before the advent of the internet, for example, coin collectors had to travel far and wide to meet with other collectors. They had to go to coin collecting shows and, depending on how serious of a collector you were, coin collecting was a member's exclusive club. Today, coin collecting has become much easier and more widespread thanks to internet auction sites such as Ebay. All you have to do is search Ebay coin auctions to obtain those hard to get coins, rare coins, foreign coins, or whatever else you collect. You can browse coins in the comfort of home and you can have the coins delivered right to you.
What You Need
In order to search Ebay coin auctions, all you need is a computer and an internet connection. There are many coin collectors out there who love to show their collections off on the internet and you can even bid on these rare coins, just as you would at a real coin auction. The only difference is that you never have to leave your house.
In order to show off your own collection, and to offer your rare coins to other collectors, you will need to set up an Ebay account. You don't need an account to search Ebay coin auctions, but you will need an account if you hope to auction off your own coins. To create an account, simply follow the directions given to you by the Ebay website. Your payments will go through a website called Paypal, or you can set it up using a credit card. Ebay will take a small percentage of whatever you get for you coins, but it's a small price to pay for the exposure. Think of all the people who will search Ebay coin auctions and think of all the people that will see the coins you're offering.
To set up your own coin auction, simply take a picture of whatever coin you are looking to auction off. Then, write a short description of the coin. This is what others will see when they search Ebay coin auctions. You can set a starting bid price and then see where it goes. You also have the option of setting up a time limit on your bid. Just make sure that you are happy with the limits you set because once the bid is over, that's the price you're going to get.
If you are a collector and you're not too keen on leaving your house to do your collecting, just search Ebay coin auctions to find those rare and unique coins, or post your own to help someone build their collection. Thanks to Ebay, coin collecting has never been easier.

How to Maximize Your Exposure on eBay
Selling on eBay can be a great way to attract thousands or even tens of thousands of potential customers to an internet business. The problem is many other people think the same thing and are selling all kinds of merchandise for incredibly low prices. eBay can definitely seem like a buyer's market but it doesn't have to be. When it comes to selling on eBay there are ways to grab someone's attention and bring them to your auction instead of to a similar one. Remember that most buyers are searching for products so be sure to use popular key words to get their attention. Start the bidding low to get people interested in your product, and offer customers free shipping. These are just a few of the ways to increase your auctions' exposure without increasing your listing fees.
When you list an auction on eBay start by thinking of what you would search for if you were looking for your product. Fit as many of these key words as possible into your title. The more of these key words you can use, the more likely someone is to see your auction. If you are selling the first season of Seinfeld on DVD try a title like "Complete Season 1 Collection Seinfeld DVD." Also in the description list all of the names of the episodes and include the word "Pilot" in the description for episode one and "Season Finale" for the last episode. This means that people will find your auction when they look for season 1, and someone looking for the entire set may also see your auction. Maybe they decide to get season 1 now and buy the rest later? Including as many important keywords as you can in your title and item description will draw the maximum number of people to your listing.
Another way to increase your exposure is to set your starting price as low as possible. Low starting prices have 2 advantages.
First, it will cost you less money to list the auction.
Second, potential customers will generally bid on the cheapest auction or at least put that auction in their watch list. In the end, the price will go up but once someone has decided they want something they may be willing to pay more for it.
Retail stores use the same theory when they let customers touch and use items hoping that we will go from "considering it" to "I need it." If you know what an item should sell for you can feel safe setting your starting price at 99 cents knowing that the auction is likely to end at $15 or more if there is a last minute bidding war.
As expensive as shipping and handling can be, it might be worth offering free shipping. Lately eBay has been offering more exposure to anyone offering this. In fact people can refine searches to look for items that promise free shipping. You need to be careful with this because it could end up costing you money if you have to have a higher starting bid. But anything that allows potential customers to find your auction more easily is a good thing.
eBay has grown to be a highly competitive market that usually favors the buyers. With practice and a few creative ideas you will be able to turn the tables, get your auctions more exposure, and increase your sales. The days of getting rich quick on eBay are over. Now is the time to differentiate yourself from other sellers and get customers clicking on your auctions.

Five Reasons to Shop on eBay
Internet access has opened doors to individuals and small businesses everywhere who have something to sell. It makes possible the transfer of goods and services among individuals and small businesses who may not be able to afford the costs of having their own store or website. Because of websites like eBay.com, many people are able to fund their hobby, sell some valuables they no longer need, or support a small income on handmade items. Here are five important reasons why you can be safe, satisfied and confident shopping on eBay.
1. You can find almost anything. With thousands of sellers to choose from-all over the world-you will have a selection that far out does all your local stores combined. You can find practical things, like clothes, electronics, and books. You can find odd and unique things, like collectibles, antiques, and imported or homemade items. You can find cheap things and expensive things. Whether you want to redecorate, replenish your music or book collection, or get the latest gadgets, eBay has it all.
2. You can save a lot of money. Who doesn't like a good deal? With eBay, you're almost guaranteed to find a good deal. Many people sell used items that are in good condition, even barely used, for a fraction of the price you would pay for a new item. Chances are, a used item works just as well, and a small scratch is worth the money you save getting a slightly used product. Many times you can get new items from resellers that are also much less expensive than it would have been from the original manufacturer.
3. You are recycling products. If you think about it, buying a used product is a lot like recycling. You can buy used products from individuals that would have had to throw away valuable items just because they aren't using them anymore. Through eBay transactions, thousands of used but good condition items get passed on to someone who needs them, and individual sellers all over the world are making a little money off of it. When you buy items from individuals on eBay, you are getting something of value to you, and you are helping someone else make ends meet or earn a little extra spending money. It's a win-win situation.
4. eBay makes online shopping a safe experience. There are many areas where eBay does their best to see that everyone stays satisfied. There are many rules and regulations in place to make sure you don't get ripped off or cheated. When you see an item for sale on eBay, you'll see the details you're looking for, if not, you can ask a question about the item. When you pay for the items, you can use save services like PayPal to avoid giving out your financial information to strangers. You never have to give out any personal information on eBay, in fact, they encourage you not to.
5. You can know who to trust. You might think that buying from a perfect stranger from whom you have no personal information is unwise, but eBay has put a checks and balance system in play so that every buyer and seller can help tell others who can be trusted. Each buyer and seller has a reputation ranking that they receive from previous transactions. Sellers that are misleading and buyer who try to get away without paying don't last long on eBay. Reputations help you know a little bit about a seller's history before choosing to buy from them. You can choose to only buy from sellers who've spent years building a good reputation on eBay, meaning they'll be sure to treat you well to keep it that way.

Wholesale Greeting Cards - An eBay Gold Mine
One of the complaints I hear most from people starting their own eBay business is, where do I find products to sell and what type of products do I want to sell. I tell them that usually depends on personal preference, but there are literally tons of wholesale items out there and tons of companies to acquire them from.
Over the years one of the best revenue producing items for me has been Wholesale Greeting Cards. They have traditionally been very easy to get a hold of and are always in demand. From greeting card companies that have overstock and want to get rid of them cheap, to companies that specialize in the sale of bulk lot Wholesale Greeting Cards. I mean come on, who doesn't like getting a nice greeting card?
I set up an eBay store specializing in Wholesale Greeting Cards, list my greeting cards as a bulk lot, and bingo, sells in 3 days every time! Literally making me an extra 500 to 700 dollars a week, and I don't have to do any shipping! Now you might be asking yourself, can I do this with other products as well? Heck yea you can! You could sell wholesale craft supplies, baby clothes, silk flowers, beauty products, the possibilities are endless! To top it all off, most will even drop ship for you!
Finding the right wholesaler will be your toughest task. But never fear! It is not as hard as you might think.
Here are some things to look for when researching wholesalers:
- Make sure the supplier is pre-screened by an independent 3rd party company. I can't stress this one enough people. No one likes to get scammed.
- Decide if you are going to have them drop ship for you. Trust me, you will want this. So make sure they ship with a reliable company. Also remember to check for international shipping. A big plus.
- Make sure they have low or no minimum order quantities. Not everyone has the purchasing power of a retail giant.
- Good phone support is a must as well. It doesn't have to be 24/7, but its important when you need them they are fast and reliable.
- Finally, pick suppliers that have a lot of different products. This is the best way to find new ideas to market, and the products are just a click away.
Wholesale Greeting Cards are just one of the many fantastic wholesale products you can sell on eBay and make big profit. To your Success!
